Comfortable shoes are recommended. Some sites require a special dress code (e.g. churches). For the sole tours departing on Wednesday including the Vatican: there is a concrete possibility that St. Peter's Basilica and St. Peter's square cannot be visited due to the weekly Papal Audience during which access to the square could be closed.
